Friends, Fans, & Family,

It’s been a while, sorry we haven’t called!

We’ve been prepping for and recording our next album and therefore foregoing any shows to concentrate on making a great seconding record.  Besides, the winter is so friggin’ cold in Chicago—we prefer to play in the summer (as we are the summer salts!).

The album’s master tracks have been recorded at Engine Studios in Wicker Park, under the engineering direction of Mike Regan. He is one of Chicago’s truly talented recording engineers and also a trusted friend. We’ll finish up recording at “The Barn” in Valparaiso, a great studio space that’s recorded some great bands. Thanks Mike!

The Salts are wrapping up some of the other parts on the album, we should finish recording in April, with a release sometime this summer. We’ll be playing a lot of shows this summer so make sure to come see us! We’ll be doing some touring this summer too!

To our website, we've added the ability to listen to all of our first album, Do A Somersault! We've only got about 8 copies left from our first print run, so if you haven't picked it up yet, right now would be a good time. You can download 4 free mp3s from the album here.
